_DSC0013Newton Abbott firefighters were called to assist Seneca Hose and other mutual aid companies at a reported residential structure fire today. The first chief on location reported fire on the first floor, with undetermined occupancy. Warning files at West Seneca dispatch listed an elderly resident, and it was the middle of a Sunday afternoon.

Initially requested as the RIT, our firefighters were soon reassigned to roof ventilation, opening up several holes to alleviate the heat and smoke conditions inside.
